Welcome from IFC
Dear Prospective Fraternity Member,
Let me be one of the first to welcome you to the University of Louisiana at Lafayette! During your tenure at UL Lafayette you will be presented with many opportunities to get involved and make a difference on campus and in the surrounding community. You may also be presented with numerous challenging obstacles that are meant to make you a more rounded person. I encourage you to take the initiative and seek out these endeavors. Becoming involved on campus will spark the development of a well-rounded person and also enhance your college experience. The university has a wide array of student organizations that will suit at least one or more of your personal interests, talents and future goals. These organizations are committed to help you grow as a person along with giving you an education outside of the classroom. I would strongly suggest all students to get involved from your first day of college. It's a decision that you would never regret!
One of my best college decisions was to Geaux Greek here at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. The Greek system connects students through ideals of friendship, citizenship, scholarship and leadership. It has taught me valuable lessons and experience about leadership, work ethic, time management, teamwork and brotherhood. These characteristics have enabled me to prosper as a Greek student and will continue to open endless doors for me. Fraternity life has developed me as a person and given me lifelong friendships. I believe the Greek system here at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette has shaped my ideals and values to make me the man I am today. I also believe with the new standards being set in place and with the great leaders that this University has, the Greek system will continue to flourish.
I know that you will enjoy everything that the Greek life has to offer. The experience will not only enrich your college career, but also help shape your future and give you lasting friendships. I am glad to have you join the Ragin' Cajun community and look forward to meeting you next semester. The following is the link to sign up for Fall Recruitment. Please take a moment to sign up.
