Welcome to Greek Life! At UL we strive to provide the highest quality of Greek Life possible. Greek Life at UL is an invaluable part of this campus. 20 chapters represent Greek Life and comprise our 3 councils, which are the Interfraternity Council, the College Panhellenic Council, and the National Pan-Hellenic Council. Greeks are successful both in and out of the classroom, and the connections that are developed within a Greek organization are of great importance when networking in life after college.
The Greek community at UL is committed to shaping our future leaders through its variety of leadership opportunities. Greeks are a well-known presence around campus, as they are involved as leaders in a number of student organizations and athletics. Academic success is also a major importance to the Greek community. Greeks are held to a high standard with regards to their grade point average. The Greek GPA is higher than that of non-Greek students on UL’s campus. Community service is another founding principle in which Greek organizations are based. Thousands of dollars are raised and countless hours of service are done in order to better our campus and community.
Greek Life offers one thing that no other campus organization does: a lifelong bond of brotherhood and sisterhood. Fraternity and sorority brothers and sisters last as life-long friends. The friendships that are gained in each chapter are an unbreakable bond that joins members through similar experiences. Greek life is an awesome way to fully gain your college experience. Being an involved member in Greek Life means building relationships between members of the Greek community and working towards the goal of a unified campus. “You join more than a fraternity or sorority at here at UL, you join a community!”
